This oil is extruded from carefully selected seeds of Egyptian black cumin (Nigella Sativa). Modern technology ensuring a low temperature of oil pressing (max. up to 40ºC) without the refining process, allows maintaining the most valuable active oil ingredients.
Black cumin oil has a high content of unsaturated fats. It also contains naturally occurring essential oils
(including Thymoquinone – about 0,8 %) and vitamin E. Replacing dietary saturated fats with unsaturated fats helps to maintain healthy blood cholesterol levels (mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids are unsaturated fats).
Linoleic acid (LA) helps to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. The beneficial effect occurs with an intake of 10 g LA a day.
Maintaining a healthy state of health requires a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Egyptian black cumin oil is characterised by an intense taste and smell, described as spicy, bitter-spicy. In culinary terms, it is best served with Mozarella cheese, basil, tomatoes, egg, broccoli. Ideal for soups, salads, stewed vegetables and bread.
Due to the fact that it is a 100 % natural product, the taste, colour and smell of the oil may vary from batch to batch.
For direct consumption 1 teaspoon (4 g)/ day, preferably during the meal.
It is not recommended to heat the oil.
For those with a limited tolerance for strong tastes, we recommend:
– diluting the black cumin oil with another, milder taste, cold-pressed oil, e.g. linseed, thistle, evening primrose
– dividing a portion of 1 teaspoon into smaller ones, e.g. 2 x 0.5 teaspoons/day,
– taking black cumin oil in the form of capsules.
