Unrefined camelina oil OLVITA offered by our company is extracted as a result of cold pressing of camelina seeds. A popular name for this oil in other regions of Poland is gold-of-pleasure oil.
Ol’Vita camelina oil is a 100% natural product. We make sure that the highest quality of the raw material used for pressing translates into optimal parameters and stability of the oil extracted.
The camelina oil was awarded as TOP PRODUCT “Doceń polskie” in 2018.
This oil is characterised by a high content of unsaturated fats, including omega-3 fatty acids (30-40 %).
The characteristic fatty acid for camelina oil, which is rare and also observed in cumin oil, is eicosapentaenoic acid (about 1.9 g/100 g).
In addition, this oil contains naturally occurring vitamin E (74,3 mg/100 g).
Linoleic acid (LA) and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) help maintain healthy blood cholesterol levels. The beneficial effect occurs with an intake of 10 g LA per day and 2 g ALA a day.
Replacing dietary saturated fats with unsaturated fats helps to maintain healthy blood cholesterol levels. Oleic acid is unsaturated fat.
